I love traveling.
I love Mexico.
I love hot temps, the ocean, and not knowing or caring what time it is.
After high school, Kirby joined the Marines and traveled all over the world....Australia, Hawaii, California, Somalia, and over other countries that I can't spell or pronounce.
After high school, I went to college and at 19 became a Mom.
I got to take a few trips, but nothing compared to the parts of the world that Kirby has seen and discovered.
So, when we decided we needed to get away for a few days....I was more than okay with heading down to Mexico.
I won't bore you with a bunch of pictures and details of what we did everyday.
Just know it was very laid back, lots of laying around, reading, resting, eating and being together.
Thankfully Kirby knows how to communicate in Spanish so when we went shopping, I just picked out what I wanted and handed it to him and let him bargain and buy. He was my personal shopper!
This is one of my favorite pictures of us, down by the pool.
Another favorite photo...
Just give me the ocean, an iced coffee, a beach chair and a good book and I can be happy for days.
Kirby is much more of the adventurous type...
and he's a better swimmer than I am.
But, even chicken sh*t me got up on the rocks and jumped off..once.
Kirby enjoyed many jumps with all the 6 and 7 year old Mexican boys and girls who were amazed that such a white colored person speaks their language.
You should have seen the looks he would get when he would talk to the Mexican kids in Spanish-hilarious!
I think Emma and Logan would make cute Mexican children.
I think I would be a cute Mexican working Mom.....
Kirby, well, Kirby would be a cute Mexican Dad living in Minnesota where it's cold 9 months out of the year. I'm sure he would be a snow bird though and come down to visit us.

Michele,
I completely agree about the iced coffee, beach, chair and a good book. I didn't know Kirby spoke Spanish! I wish I had taken it in school.
