Re-cap birthday month.

From September 2nd to October 3rd, we cover all three kids birthdays.
Trust me, it wasn't planned.
But, it's a fun month for all and little Logan has to be very patient through Emma and Tyler's birthday until his day finally arrives.

Logan picked cupcakes this year.

Somehow treasure hunts got started for getting birthday presents. So, here's Logan at the start of his....

It was off to the trampoline for the next clue....

The empty box on the trampoline led Logan to the TB.
Where he found his new red 4 wheeler!

Life is good for this little boy. Logan loves riding on Daddy's 4wheeler and now he has his own to drive around the yard. It's pretty sweet and within a day, he had figured out how to tie up a wagon to the back so he can haul stuff around the yard.

With some birthday money from the grandpa's and grandma's........Logan got himself some new guns.

We also had a birthday party at Uncle Jeff and Aunt Vanessa's house. The three kids waiting to eat their cake!

Happy Birthday to all three of my babies!

Boys to Men....

We had a great weekend up in Bemidji this past weekend. There was dinner, drinks, desserts, volleyball, hunting, fishing, crafts, kids ages 6-5-4-3 playing and lots of laughs and funny looks.

BUT- the highlight of the weekend trip was Tyler becoming a man.
Tyler caught his first musky on Sunday.
48 inches (the same height as his 6 year old sister)
Look at that smile......

I'm not sure who is happier in this photo but it was a wonderful memory made on a cold Sunday morning.
Thank you Rud's for all the memories you helped create this weekend for us and all our kids!

Princess Butter-Cup

I was out of town this past weekend visiting my grandmother with my Mom, brother and sister in law.

I left Saturday morning and came back Tuesday night.

I left knowing that Kirby would do just fine with the kids and keep them busy and not misplace anybody while I was gone.

I left a list of ideas for supper and set clothes out for the kids.

I came home to a house still standing, a happy dog and a happy family.

This morning I discovered two tubs of butter in our fridge. Now, mind you that it takes us about 3-4 months to get through one 2lb 13oz tub of butter.

I texted Kirby after my discovery this morning.

Me: Why are there two tubs of butter in the fridge?

K: We have two? Where's the other one? In the pantry? I bought one at Walmart this weekend cause I   thought we were out.

Me: No, there was one in the fridge already. Sometimes you need to actually bend over when you're looking in the fridge.

K: That's what I was afraid of....see, I REALLY need you around or the world falls apart and we end up with too much butter..... :)

The lessons are as follows:

1. Men are the worst at finding/seeing things.  This means that I need to push everything that we have in the front to the very front so that everything can be seen without having to bend over.  Same for the pantry.

2. I give Kirby an A+ for actually going to the store and knowing what kind of butter to buy. Good job honey!

3.  Notice the smooth recovery on Kirby's behalf.....  (yes, I fall for that stuff)

4. If you need any butter for the next 8-9 months, feel free to knock on our door. We have plenty.

Happy Birthday Logan!

Four years ago, this adorable little boy came into our lives.

Destined to be a hockey fan, he has brought so much joy and love to our family.

Happy Birthday Logan!
We love you and love your sense of humor....
Thank you for being you!
