Logan's party weekend....

Sometimes it's hard being a little boy.
Well, not really...other than being short.

Logan celebrated his 5th birthday this past weekend.
Saturday started off with a trip down to my brother's house...
Emma and Logan with the yummy cake!

Then Sunday was Logan's other birthday party. We decided to take 10 kids bowling....

The daycare gang!

All these kids attend daycare together.
The tall kid is Isaiah our daycare providers son.
He loves all these kids as if they are his little brothers and sisters.
He drives our kids from daycare to football practice for us.
He plays with them when he gets home from school.
He is the first one to  hug them when he sees them at an athletic event or around town.
He was more than happy to spend his Sunday afternoon bowling with a bunch of 5-6-7 year olds.
He's a great kid and our kids love him!

Happy Birthday Logan!

We love you!

Such good form! He must be related to a family of bowlers...

Then, on Monday, his REAL birthday....we took him to Applebee's for dinner.
The wait staff sang to him.
He got a free sundae.
Life is good.

Then it was off to Walmart.
Both Emma and Logan have been saving their money to buy a DS.
They have been earning marbles by doing good in school, doing chores, being nice to others, and being helpful around the house. Once they fill their jar, they get $ from us.

After many, many, many months of saving and earning...they finally saved enough to buy their own DS.
They were sooooo excited! And we are so proud of them for being patient and learning that earning and saving your money is a good skill to have.

Logan was so excited, that he fells asleep in the car ride home.

But, he had to wake up to open a few more gifts from Emma and us.
We bought him a paper jams...watch out Papa Tom-Logan is learning the guitar!

Happy Birthday Logan!
We love you!
You are wonderful little boy that warms the hearts of many.
Someday we'll buy you a boat...
