1986 - Cult Classic - RAD

Cru Jones (a.k.a. Logan) is a young BMX racer who lives in a small town with his family. Cru/Logan is faced with a tough decision: the qualifying races for Helltrack are the same day as his SAT's, which he must take in order to attend college. However, winning Helltrack means a lucrative sponsorship deal and fame. Cru chooses the latter option, ignoring his mother's wishes.

"Is there anything that kid can't do?"

"The way you ride that bike, it's like  it's natural. It took me six months to airwalk and it only
took you one afternoon."

"The paperboy thinks he's a pro."

"The only thing I'm good at is riding this bike. Now I have the chance to be the best, maybe the best in the world!"

"Dad always told me, 'When your gut talks to you, you listen."

Logan - the look on your face when you saw your new bike overwhelmed me with happy thoughts from my own past. Much like Tyler shooting that turkey last year, I watched another one of my boys spread his wings and be willing to take a leap of faith into the unknown. The universe is your BMX playground Bear.
May you soon learn that:
 #1 Wounds Heal
#2 Chicks Dig Scars and
#3 The United States has the Highest Doctor to Daredevil ratio in the World!
Before you know it, you'll be convincing a girlfriend that it's perfectly safe for her to ride on your handlebars. Enjoy your new ride son because now that you've dabbled into the world of two-wheeled freedom, I wish you safe travels.

"Hey, now that we're official, think we got room on the Rad team?"

Chicks dig scars, no doubt. Just don't let the chicks see you wipeout as you're trying to impress them with a sweet jump off the sidewalk. It totally defeats the purpose. Trust me, I know.

Thanks for taking me back. The late 80's on my own BMX -- what a trip that was!
