A Mother's P.O.V

I had a mini mental break down the other day. Our friend BR sent us a CD of camping pictures from our recent weekend up at Gooseberry Falls. The pictures are super cute and there are lots of fond memories found from each frame to frame....about half way through I started realizing that there were few and far between of myself and my children. That's when my mind spanned ahead 40 years...my children paging through our picture books and laughing at how funny they look and noticing that, "Hey Mom, why aren't there any pictures of you?"

Well, honey, I was the one taking all those funny photo's. Your Father was too busy taking pictures of fish and the dead animals he shot. (Ha ha-love ya honey!)

When I think about looking back at old photo's of myself and my family (which there were few and far between cause I am #4 out of 4 children) I know that I always look for those photo's of myself and my Mom. There aren't many. Kirby has some really cool photo's of his Mom back in the day, and for some reason, I just love those.

So, goal for this upcoming 30 years is to include myself in the photos. Or pass the camera off and let someone else shoot from their POV. I want those photos to be around for my kids to look and laugh at.

I am guilty of the same thing! I am definetely the photog in the family - in fact, I've named myself the mamaratzi....sadly, my arm isn't long enough to get a good shot of me and my kiddos!
