Things I learned or re-learned this weekend....

Kirby left Friday night for a fishing trip up in Bemidji and ended up taking Emma with. While the boys were out fishing, Becky gave the okay for Emma to come with and spend some time with her boys, Matthew (Emma's best pal) and Luke.
So, with Tyler being at his Dad's house this weekend, that left me with just Logan. Here are a few things I learned or re-learned this weekend.

  • Shopping is much easier with one child. However, shopping with a 12 or 4 year old is much easier than shopping with a 2 year old.
  • Shopping with a 2 year old should be called 'speed shopping' cause you don't have time to leisurely walk down each and every isle. You go directly to what you are looking for and that's it.
  • You can get a lot done at nap time.
  • You don't always need your husband around to help you move and lift heavy things. You just need to be creative on how you move them by yourself. (and be thankful that you do lift weights on occasion)
  • Don't put butter in front of a 2 year old and assume that they know to spread it out on their muffin . Cause they don't and the will just end up eating all the butter you gave them.
  • Being able to watch a movie from beginning to end is a luxury!
  • I need to take more time to just look at my kids. Logan is very cute when he is sleeping.

Here is what Kirby caught this weekend.....who knew that fishing was a year round sport?

Here is what Emma did with her pal Matthew up in Bemidji while Daddy was fishing.

A trip to the pumpkin patch and to McDonalds for lunch.

Apparently Emma and Matthew at times, speak to each other like an old married couple when they are playing with each other. I wonder where they get that from? :)
Another weekend has gone and passed us by.......
Here's hoping this week is as good if not better!
