As in THIRTY FIVE THOUSAND.
That’s the number of times the Kirby Krew @ Blogspot Dot
Internet Dot Click-Click Dot COM has been accidentally clicked on. Actually that’s only
accurate to the date that Michele installed that stat tracker on the bottom
right – below the Archives. We didn’t initially
start this diatribe with the scrolling counter marking the time. We added it later.
That blow’s my mind.
35000 times someone has wasted a few minutes of their
precious time checking in on me, my wife and our brood.
Truthfully though – half of those hits are probably
registering my own CLICKS – the number of times I’ve checked back to see if
anyone has commented. Times I’ve reminisced over stories of old. Times I’ve
checked in to see if my wife is ripping on me again.
Some 462 posts registered since June 25, 2008.
There’s a whole lot of living packed in those archives.
Initially we started this rolling essay of life to keep our extended family up
to date with the ins and outs of raising Tippie, the Minnow and the Bear. With
family in Florida, Illinois, Tennessee, North Dakota and northern Minnesota we
rarely get a chance to see everyone and wanted a way to keep everyone up to
speed.
And then I found out that writing was fun again for me.
We found a few other bloggers out there with similar
interests and better style. Like others, the movement to write has come and
gone from time to time. Sometimes the motivation to just live without the
pressure of recording and laying it out there for the entertainment of our
meager readership was too strong and Michele and I would let the Blog slip. Sometimes
though the posts flow like water from a faucet.
I am so thankful that my wife talked me in to being a part
of this blog. I hope one day my kids can look back on this historical reference
as proof of our love for them. Our marriage is strong. My love for my wife and
children is stronger. I am proud of them and am proud of this little family
story…
35,000 when I started writing this this afternoon.
35,016 now.
WOW!
