I read somewhere that there was supposed to be a Meteor Shower tonight. The remains of some distant comet they called the Draconid...supposedly more visible at nightfall then in the morning. I mentioned it to Bjacyk and we decided to walk out to the Rocks at about 9:10 - figured it was night enough...
No meteor shower...but man...
The Sunset was indescribable... "indescribable" is a vocab word in Lesson 7 this week for Reading...and seriously folks, I don't know what to say.
Usually the weather here in KVLs can be brutal - high winds can really put a damper on your spirits but when the wind is calm and the Chukchi Sea settles down...with the waves lapping at the shore...and the mountains, oceans and sky all meeting to create this view that I hope to never forget.
Ol' Rud said I should buy an expensive camera...
I'm too colorblind to tell you the mixes of oranges, yellows and dying blues...
Somethings are better left burned in your memory - like tonight's false Meteor Shower and surprise sunset.
That's all.
Well, maybe I'll run out again real quick here before bedtime and check the sky one more time.
