Well hello there! How are you and where the heck have we been?
Thought it was time to do a photo update from this summer and catch everyone up to speed on where the Kirby Krew is at in life....
It was a busy and fun summer.....here are a few highlights...
Kirby and Logan scored tickets to an all star hockey game for Veterans. They got lots of autographs from some pretty cool players. Kirby loves to tell the story of how they stood in line for over an hour and when the gal came out to cut the line off, she did so right after she looked at Logan's cute little face.
I think Kirby went there just to get Gigi Marvin's autograph.
The cool story behind that is she remembered Logan a few weeks later when we were up in Warroad for the 4th and he was at the penny drop game. She was in charge and as soon as Logan walked up, she said..."Hey Logan..." I told Logan he was a little too young to ask her out....
Warroad...we never have a dull moment there....
Logan jumping into LOTW.....notice the rope tied to him so we didn't lose him in the big lake.
The kids even went tubing....Good job Papa Tom driving!
We bought the kids some roller blades and all of us when for a few long skates by the lake. Don't they look tough?
And yes, there was fishing.....
And jumping off the wall.......
Then it was time for some camping on the North Shore.
Logan was busy building his log cabin.
We spent a lot of time looking for tadpoles.
And enjoyed the rocks and waterfalls and quietness of no TV-Cell Phones-Computers-Work.....
One of my favorite pictures!
Of course in between all the fun trips we had tball and dry land hockey and swimming lessons and volleyball and backyard baseball....
After 8 years of living in our house, we finally painted our bedroom....
Emma turned 8! How did that happen? We spent the day at the State Fair eating and looking.
(oh and hi Raider.....)
First day of school!
Kindergarten for Logan.
Kindergarten for Logan.
Third grade for Emma.
Tenth grade for Tyler.
Eleventh year of teaching for Kirby....
And of course...Kirby is coaching football again-I started coaching the 8th grade volleyball team...
Kids are signed up for hockey this winter.
I'm trying to figure out how to teach our dogs to do some laundry and cook to help out.
And last weekend we all watched my Dad achieve his brown belt in Karate. He's 1 belt away from earning his black belt. We are super proud of him!
It was crazy watching him throw punches and kicks......
And there you have it in a nut shell.......
Life is good.
