Wow-middle of October already! Here's a quick update on the Kirby Krew.
*My re-entry into the coaching world is coming to an end. One more practice and one more game and the 8th grade season is done. I was able to coach a talented group of girls this year and even those that weren't so talented, were very coach-able. So, now that I've re-appeared on the coaching scene, the question of, "Will you coach JO's this winter for x, y, z..... ?"
*Kirby is wrapping up the football season. Last regular season game is tonight and playoffs start next week. Good thing too cause it's starting to get chilly outside!
*Hockey is just around the corner... we've been busy selling calendars and getting skates ready for practice on the 29th.
*Kirby's basketball season starts next week...yup, right from football to basketball. In fact, the day of his playoff game for football is the first day of basketball practice. Hmm, how is that going to work? Logan is excited to dust off his basketball shoes though and even dear Emma is ready to help out this year.
*Emma is doing well in 2nd grade. We don't hear too much about what's she's doing but she comes home with lots of papers that have big STARS on them so we'll take that as a good sign.
*Logan is loving preschool! I think his favorite part is working on the ipads (yes, ipads. How cool is that? Thank goodness for grant money!) and riding the bus to daycare.
*Raider still chews on Gunner's ears every chance he gets and Gunner recently spent the afternoon out walking the woods with Logan and Daddy. Rumor has it Raider gets the green light next time.
*Looking forward to Halloween and the changing of the seasons. Yes, I was in Menards yesterday looking at the Christmas decorations and trees and yes I bought some xmas lights. You all know I love Christmas!
*Teaching Sunday school has been a challenge but we are helping where there is a need. Kirby is apparently adored by all the female teachers, or so I hear.....and I'm dusting off my classroom skills of keeping 3-4-5 year olds entertained and learning something in the process.
*Whew...I'm tried just writing all that! We hope you are all doing well and hope that our paths cross soon!
