What a weekend!

Have you ever just had one of those weekends in which you got a lot accomplished/did a lot of things but yet you felt relaxed by the time Monday morning rolled around? I just had one of those weekends.....ahhhhh.

Saturday morning we all headed over to the Mora Garage Sale day. We didn't find too much as far as goods but it was nice to be out and about. I think my best find was the chocolate chip cookies that were 3 for $1. Yum!

After a quick lunch, I went up to the gym while Kirby took the little ones up to the softball fields to watch a few of our friends who were playing in a tournament.

Grandpa Ray came up later in the day to watch Emma and Logan for us while we went out to dinner at our favorite restaurant (Hanging Horn) and had a little adult conversation over adult like food. Being that we were so close, we decided to venture up to the Black Bear Casino which was actually pretty fun. I'm not a big fan of casino's but this one was very nice. Lots of space and newer looking and not too crowded. Kirby and I lost $10 but we had fun playing a few games and walking around drinking the free beverages.

We came home to sleeping children and a tired out Papa Ray watching Texas Hold 'em Poker. They had a good night and we were grateful for Papa Ray taking good care of them for the evening. I think Kirby likes me again after we were able to spend some time together. :)

Here's a picture of Papa Ray and Logan talking about their portfolio's on the front steps.

Sunday I decided that it "wouldn't take us that long' to tear up our old kitchen tiles and replace them with the leftover dinning room tiles we bought over 2 years ago. Why the change now you ask? Well, last weekend Emma and Logan decided they wanted to help Mommy by doing the dishes. So they each pulled a chair up to the sink and started washing the dishes. I was downstairs doing laundry (surprise-surprise) and started to feel a 'drip' 'drip' over my head. Hmmm, what could that be? I ran upstairs only to find a large puddle in the kitchen with 2 very wet children. Tiles needed to be pulled up and therefore the need to 'fix' the kitchen floor.

The original floor (after we took the old tiles off) and the new floor.

It will do for now.

So, feeling bad about trying to work while it was such a nice day out. We decided to pack a dinner and take the kids down to the St. Croix River for an hour or so. We ate and played in the river trying to catch water bugs.

Emma was a little scared of being in the tree and Logan realized his legs were too short to climb much higher.

Back at home, time for baths and a new hairdo for Logan, and then bedtime.

I could use more good weekends like this. Next weekend=Garage Sale.
